From Tweet Street

There’s nothing like the threat of out-of-town guests to motivate you to get the guest room set up. A new peaceful paint scheme turned this room from “blue” to “ahhh.”

We were leaning toward some warmer colors for the room, but after some test spots we went with a more neutral scheme of putty walls with a darker grey accent wall. Sarah added in some sheer white curtains and choose a simple white fan to replace the “UFO” which was donated to Frisco Resale (which is a wonderful work of Frisco Family Services).

There was enough sample paint left over for me to make a distressed mirror from the mirror we ripped out of the old bathroom downstairs. A funky old chair I’d used as a movie prop came out of storage and ended up making an impromptu stand.

It’s a simple space that we hope will make our house guests feel at home.

    Love,
